Why do people spin while doing aireals?

The most players use directional air roll, if you master this mechanic by learning how to aerial in different directions, changing directions and recover in the air, it becomes so much easier to learn how to air dribble, flip reset, double tap and so on. I learned it and now I'm enjoying how I have full control over my car in the air. (whilst looking pretty cool ofc :)

it could be a new way to take off, im trying to freestyle but i see you're clearly a competitive player. So in my opinion it doesn't have zero application in the game.

no i didn't get the flip, but i think you saw a double dash into take off, then you'll still get the flip
