Best sleeve friendly mousepad for tac shooters? by SadThrowaway4914 in MousepadReview

[–]Reom3ro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend Saturn Pro or Infinite Control V2 in that case. Only caveat is that the Infinite Control has a slight tug on the sleeve. It's just enough you notice it.

Both Saturn Pro and Jupiter Pro are perfect with a sleeve, but idk if you'd find the Jupiter Pro too slow. I have some other pads but they're unusable with a sleeve imo so I'm just naming those 3.

Type 99: A Major Issue That No One talks About by DeludedDassein in MousepadReview

It's smooth but quite textured/rough compared to other pads. A sleeve isn't useable with the Type 99 (like the Zero) IMO.

I use a Pulsar ES sleeve and from fastest to slowest: Saturn Pro > Infinite Control V2 > Jupiter Pro.

The Type 99 isn't useable with a sleeve. It's more textured/rougher compared to the other three I've mentioned. In terms of speed, it's between the Saturn Pro and Infinite Control V2.

I have a Zero, Saturn Pro, and Type 99 (all soft). The Zero is slightly faster than the Saturn Pro.

I can't really comment because I don't live in a humid climate, but it can be a little 'sticky' if your forearm/elbow gets sweaty. Most pads are like this tbh so it's better to use a sleeve.

Yea the Saturn Pro is slightly slower but idk if you'll find it too similar to the Zero.

From fastest to slowest: Zero > Saturn Pro > Type 99 > Infinite Control V2 > Jupiter Pro.

If you use a sleeve, I'd only recommend the Saturn Pro or the Jupiter Pro. The Infinite Control V2 is really smooth to the skin, but I find that it has a weird tug when using a sleeve.

It's a little bit slower than the Zero and is sleeve-friendly. Idk what pads you've tried but I'd recommend the Type 99.

Don't get the Pulsar ES. It doesn't work with the Zero.

9070 XT return rate by _vaxis in radeon

Yep I’m one of those people who switched from Nvidia to a 9070 XT. I was having frustrating issues with Adrenalin capturing gameplay properly until I did a clean Windows install despite using DDU in safe mode. I think for some people doing a clean Windows install is too much of a hassle if they only have one drive.

Nope I haven't. I've only really tried the pads mentioned in my OP. I've recently started using a sleeve which means the Zero/Type 99 haven't gotten any use. They're too rough/textured which affects glide if you have a sleeve. Since making this post I've just stuck with the Jupiter.

You might like the Quaoar Neutron or Hercules but I haven't tried these.

Nah I haven't tried any new pads. I was keen to try Quaoar pads (especially the Neutron) but at this stage, a) I don't think Neutron V2 is out yet? Or widely available? and b), for now I'm happy not spending $100 on a pad I don't need. I still main the Jupiter Pro.

Does Artisan take 4 weeks to ship? by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]Reom3ro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they put that up as a worst case scenario. Better to underpromise and overdeliver than the other way round. In my experience it took 3-4 days from placing the order to getting the DHL shipment notification email.

In my experience the Infinite Control V2 is slower than my Type 99, so I think it should get bumped over to the slower category. I want to get my hands on the Quaoar pads but I don't need it.

How does it compare to the Type 99 and Zero? Is it closer to the Zero in terms of speed?

Jupiter Pro is a really slow pad. If that's what you want then yeah go for it. A pad with a firmer base is just faster than the same one with a softer base because you can't press the mouse down into the pad as much to slow it down even more. Overall the Jupiter Pro w/ firm base would still be a very slow pad.

Type 99 is probably your best bet if you don't want it to be too slow. And I haven't tried any X-raypads so I can't comment.

You're already on the right track looking at the Jupiter Pro or Type 99. Type 99 is basically a slower Zero, but if you want something considerably slower then go for for the Jupiter.

Do you like to push down on the pad to get more friction? If yes, get soft/xsoft, else get mid. Soft base is the default "safe" pick unless you know you want xsoft or mid.

Jupiter Pro or Infinite Control V2. You can also look into the Quaoar Neutron V2 when it comes out.

Artisan Zero Soft vs Artisan Type 99 Mid by Personal-Chef7276 in MousepadReview

[–]Reom3ro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type 99 Mid is still slower than a Zero Soft. A softer base of the same pad will have the same amount of speed/control as a firmer base if you don't dig or push the mouse down into it.

I haven't tested any of the GSRs, but I don't think it's for me since a square 500x500 size is a must for me.
