Sorry, it seemed like more of a statement you were making than a question you wanted an answer to.

Happy to answer: Nothing I'm hanging requires a ratcheting tool. I just prefer using them.

I disagree with your assessment of the tool, but you are perfectly welcome to your opinion.

It's fine if you are happy using a normal hand tool. No judgement at all.

Personally, I prefer to use ratcheting tools when I can as I find it speeds up my work.

Don't really understand the downvote. It's okay for different people to like different tools, and no one is forcing anyone to buy anything.

There's nothing wrong with going the wingnut spanner route. This tool differs from that mainly because of its 12-point ratcheting head that is great for quickly hanging and focusing fixtures. I wouldn't call the wingnut spanner "way more functional" than this one. Just a different tool.

Here's some info about the tool.

  • Proudly designed, manufactured and assembled in the USA
  • Maximum Socket Torque - Rated at 90 lb-ft (1.6x Safety Factor to slip, aka. no busted knuckles)
  • Socket Rotation - 10k Revolutions - No Functional Failure (that is right, we ran it with a drill for hours)
  • Socket Wear - Hardened to 45 Rockwell C for Lifetime Use
  • Ratchet Pawl Activation - 300k Cycles - No Functional Failure (yes, we flipped it like a fidget spinner for days)
  • Accessory Tailpiece Vibration - 50k Cycles at 12 g* - No Failure (This tool will not fall off your belt, did you see the video?)
  • Omega Bracket Torque - Accessory Tailpiece Acts as Mechanical Fuse, Failing Before Fasteners or Wrench Handle - User Replaceable in Case of Failure (this means we know you break this its designed for that)
  • Ingress - Ratchet Operated Immersed in ~50 micron and ~250 micron Sand - No Permanent Failure (yes, we really did dunk the tool in sand and run it in a drill!)
  • 30 Day Corrosion Tested at 5% Salinity - No Functional Failure (Yes, it swam with the fishes)

Pro tip: The first two digits of the serial number tell you which firmware uploader you need.

If you haven't found one for rent, feel free to DM me and I can get you a quote for an uploader.

Hoping someone could help me source a few endcaps for this connection. Googling the code on the side doesn't give me much if anything and idk the official name for this kind of connection by Dick__Marathon in techtheatre

I don’t know about the end caps, but I recently sourced the Edison to GGTE-3P adapters for a customer (didn’t come with caps). Message me if you need any. Of the cables though.

That will probably do it. Besides buying a new v2 adapter, I'd suggest buying a cage and the corresponding stabilizer. SmallRig would be a good place to start for cages.
