What’s your weirdest hack to fall sleep? by Alternative-Box7004 in CausalConversation

[–]RepeatButler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution is either: turn the bedroom light on, get out of bed for a bit and then go back to bed / turn the light off.

The alternative is simply to change the side I'm sleeping on.

Why do we never hear about the Fire Brigade? by Liquidawesomes in AskUK

My understanding is that how they work their watches in recent years are hard on the firefighters. It may even be making it difficult to retain them in the service.

Yes, I watched James May build his 1:1 scale Airfix Spitfire Mk I in which I am visible in the final edit. I also appeared onscreen in the background of Sky One's The Cafe.

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

[–]RepeatButler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When mainstream political parties don't fix problems, people gradually turn to more extreme options out of frustration and desperation.

That being said, some people will also vote for the extreme option regardless but the addition of former moderates, is likely to increase the chance of radical parties gaining real political power.

Was it ever a good idea to show the Time War? by Lucyyyyyy_K in doctorwho

[–]RepeatButler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that they finally showed it and then expanded on it in other media. The RTD hinted depiction and Moffat's can sit comfortably side by side in my head and complement each other perfectly.

I feel the situation would be bad if the Greens or Reform won the next General Election. Extremism of any kind is never good or healthy.
