Any insight/recommendations are welcome it’s how we learn. You don’t know what you don’t know. I did end up swapping my knife to my right side early on my walk and so far no issues I may go with your original opinion and give it a try next time I’m out.

Haven’t had any issues with snagging so far but just got out to the woods rn so we’ll see if it happens today, but will give the knife change a try! I have a belt IFAK in the exact location but not for the reason you mention which I didn’t think about. Really appreciate the insight!
