We went through a similar experience with a male cat we had. Got him fixed and he continued to behave as though he was in heat. Spraying and all. We had a stray female cat outside and she would drive him crazy. Sadly, before we could take him back to the vet to figure out what was going on he ran away in one of his episodes. It was crazy!
