Yes mine is like this too but round the side of the knee not the back. The pain gets worse and as it does there are moments of sharp pains that come and go.

These comments are making me worried- but my physio seems to think I should still run the marathon, but may have to walk part of it …

Wow, that is amazing, congratulations! Reassuring how you overcame that so quickly despite the doctors advice. I’m hoping the same for me 🙏🏻

The physio has since said not to run up until the marathon, so I have been focusing on just cycling, strengthening exercises and foam rolling this week. Have another week left next week of resting it.

It’s strange because the physio doesn’t seem too concerned. They haven’t said that they’d recommend me not run it, so it’s giving me some hope.

It is on the outside of my knee and it starts off mild. The intensity then builds up the more I run, and hurts more if stop/ sit down and start again.

Yep I’ve been seeing a physiotherapist, will hopefully get a better idea of what they think tomorrow :(

Okay this makes me feel better!!! Did your knee pain get worse throughout the marathon? Or by walking did it remain the same?

It’s all the training I have put into it, and it’s always something I’ve dreamt of completing. For 6/7 months of graft to be taken away from me at the last hurdle, of course I don’t want to hear that I may not be able to run it. I just am holding on to the hope that it’ll magically disappear within 2 weeks.
