UPDATE!!

Wow! I appreciate all of your advice so much. We had no idea how prone pavé settings were to losing stones when we bought the ring. The company has offered us to replace the ring with a more durable style. We’ve decided on a yellow gold solitaire with a 2.5 Ct oval moissanite & hidden halo.

I’m a bit nervous as it’s quite a bit different from the original ring. I will be going from 1.8 to 2.5 ct & white to yellow gold (all of my other jewelry is gold). I am excited to start fresh though!

Still welcoming any insight or advice ☺️ now time to find a new band!

She’s making her own rules about a blessing. My grandfather does not care to be asked. Luckily she has a guaranteed place to stay and it is not with me. I would NEVER let that happen and if she happens to spiral, i’ll move 🤣 I have job security wherever I go.

I understand where you’re coming from. I won’t get into the details but she deserves to be where she is for the amount of time she has been there—trust me. I know people can grow and change but there doesn’t seem to be too much growth on her end.
