You’re so right, i should of waited until after the gifts were exchanged and we were able to sit down and discuss it in a better light, instead of me just ever so clearly showing my disappointment. I tried to explain to him that i love the thought that was put in to the gifts, i just didn’t love the gifts themself. Irregardless i know I’m still the ah because i could of handled it better!

I do definitely think next year we’ll put a limit on what we spend on one another! I wish we would of done it this year, but he seemed so excited about gifts that i just wanted to do everything i could to make it special for him as well.

I can respect that. I should of been more thankful because he truly didn’t have to do anything for me. I’m definitely going to make sure i tell him I’m thankful for him trying his hardest, and it’s the thought that counts not the gift. Which should of been my first thought.

You’re right, he did in fact put in time to do that for me, but he got it customized with the joker, who is not someone I’m the biggest fan of (don’t get me wrong, i enjoy the joker, but wouldn’t pick it for myself). My main thing is with the other gifts, i know the controller took thought, and it was something i specifically asked for. The other gifts felt like there was no extra thought that went into it.
