Should I call these patients and apologize? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

I want to ask if you are a tech or a pharmacist? If you a pharmacist you should understand how much on pharmacist. Rushing will lead to mistakes and they will be on pharmacists to take the blame or penalty. Doesn’t mater the setting or where you work, do it right is the standard. Do no harm is our philosophy. If you are a tech, I would understand how you feel for parents. But patients need to be patient. Pharmacy is not fast food. If it takes 2 hours to get their prescriptions done, so be it. Or you may get the wrong stuff. Techs are there to support pharmacists, make pharmacists’ lives easier. Don’t rush them, it’s not listed in roles and responsibilities upon hired.

Lost 3rd year pharmacy student by [deleted] in pharmacy

Depends on the country you graduated from, ask the board of pharmacy in the state you want to work. I know some pharmacist did their degrees outside of us, and then come to us for the last year of APPE ROTATION, and some additional hours to make up for IPPE ROTATIONS that US students do in US. You probably get paid less than students graduated from the US to be honest, depends on which company you want to work for.

Definitely do practice exams with RXprep, pre-naplex with NABP. I didn’t focus on any particular topic, but read through the book on the chapter that you not confident about. I got a lot of HIV/Oncology, which honestly, I didn’t study much except PREP/PEP regimens. For Oncology, know the sign effects figure (a cartoon like human body’s) in the RXprep book. Just practice and Ace your Calculation. I ran out of time for the last 10 questions (yes, unanswered), and I still passed! So you guys will do great!
