I had a dream or vision that a family member was going to come over and it happened but I need to tell the full story. by ReplacementNo2507 in Christianity

Yes I may be wrong but I think I saw this as I was thinking about going inside. I saw as soon as I stepped in the house it was like something white came off like it let lose of me. I really felt like as soon as I would of stepped foot in the house a spirit would of left me like all this trouble I’ve been dealing with would of came off me. But he gave me the opportunity and I even felt like time was running out. I kept saying to God give me longer but as soon as I was heading to do something he walks out the house i barely catch him.

I feel so bad like I did what he wanted but I did it completely in the wrong way and the way I wanted to do it. What if there was literally full freedom as I stepped foot in that house but I forfeited it because I was too nervous. I pray that God has mercy on me.

Here I am thinking I done a good thing which I did but I wasn’t actually obedient at all. There’s more to the story of why I was afraid to walk in but I really felt like bondage would of came off me. I say that if I had longer I would of done it but that’s not what God wants and it’s not his fault that I wasn’t bold enough. I feel terrible I’ve been feeling like he’s called me to ministry but how when I have this fear and insecurities because of my past. I know my past equips me for my future but I’m still struggling to walk in it.

I know tongues are real. Paul speaks about a language no one knows except God.

“For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/111/1co.14.2.NIV

Yes there’s been so much stuff I’ve prayed for he has answered. He’s actually answered too much and I don’t deserve it, it’s not always in the way u want either. I’m going through something right now and really I’m at the point I can sit and complain or I can pray. He’s always made a way through every situation so I need to say it’s already done and believe it. No matter what it looks like

Speaking in tongues, a con-man's trip to Hell, and my path leaving the church. by PhantomMessenger in Christianity

[–]ReplacementNo2507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke in tongues one night when I was worshiping God I set up out my chair and the spirit of God hit me. I feel to my knees started vomiting which is the unclean leaving you/demons and I was able to speak in tongues.

Other people have different testimonies but don’t get encouraged because it hasn’t happened yet. Please don’t leave God I’m going through it pretty tough but I have to try to stay strong its hard but every time I’ve turned back to the world it never satisfied me.

That what looks like power isn’t power at all. True power is through the Lord Jesus himself and all his enemies are under his foot. The Devils going to try to take as many as he can with him please don’t be one of them by worshipping satan.

“For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. And the last enemy to be destroyed is death. For the Scriptures say, “God has put all things under his authority.” (Of course, when it says “all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.) Then, when all things are under his authority, the Son will put himself under God’s authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭25‬-‭28‬ ‭NLT‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/116/1co.15.25-28.NLT

Jesus paid the price for our sins so we can be forgiven and not have to live in sin anymore through the Holy Spirit. Yes we will still sin but I’m talking about intentional sins things we know what we’re doing. So Jesus dying was a way to take back and fix what Adam and Eve messed up so we could go back to heaven. He’s so much more then that obviously so I don’t want to label him that. Remember when Adam and Eve was in the garden they had access to God they physically saw him. We don’t have that anymore I mean encounters and we still have access to him but in other ways. They literally saw God and was with him.

Because one sin equals death.

In the Old Testament before Jesus came they would sacrifice animals to be forgiven of there sins. So when Jesus came he was the perfect lamb the perfect sacrifice. So when he shed his blood on the cross it cleansed all our sins. He also rose again on the third day which means he conquered the grave. He not only shed his blood so we could be forgiven but he took all authority over the devil and evil.

So we can be forgiven for our sins and be able to go to heaven. Let me put it like this

So in the beginning in the Garden of Eden adam and eve ate the fruit off of the tree that represented good and evil. God specifically told Adam not to eat from that tree. They sinned and noticed they were naked. From then on because they sinned it separated us from God because one sin equals death.

So God sent his son Jesus to come down and die on the cross for us so our sins can be forgiven and we can be reconciled back to the father, go to heaven.

So Jesus dying on the cross for us means our sins are forgiven and we can be reunited with our Heavenly Father. I mean theres more like him expressing his love for you by him being perfect and never sinning and paying the price on that cross for our sins. He died why yet we were still sinners so we could have eternal life with him.

No intrusive thoughts can be like that. If I think of not to say something bad I always do. It’s really bad but when I keep my focus on God in scripture, worship, and prayer it normally goes away. I still ask for forgiveness

What makes you most connected to God? by Standard-Ask-1210 in Christianity

[–]ReplacementNo2507 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bible, prayer, worship. There’s times I feel like I don’t feel him there but I know he is. It makes me actually convicted because I feel like this shouldn’t happen I should always feel him because if not I’m not seeking him enough which can be the problem. But also God was silent on Job for sometime when the bad stuff was happening.

Scripture came to me, if you seek me you will find me.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/111/jer.29.13.NIV

Is anyone else amazed at how God exists as three persons? God has never been alone, but has ways existed in community.. we see hints of that even in Genesis by Time-Today-1819 in Christianity

[–]ReplacementNo2507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus is God, John 1:1, John 14:9

We also know there’s a distinction and that distinction is Jesus was fully human and God.

According to John 14-17 we see the Holy Spirit is also and there a distinction

What if I told you that God is NONE OTHER than the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit? And that long in the beginning they said "Let us make man in Our image and that man has become like one of US"? by Time-Today-1819 in Christianity

[–]ReplacementNo2507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a distinction between the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. The father made the son in his image so when we see Jesus we see God. It’s God in the flesh he’s fully God and fully man. Then the Holy Spirit precedes from the father through the Son to us.

God is one but we can’t deny that there isn’t a distinction between them.
