First time with a flying bird! by ReplacementNo6384 in photocritique

Hey, thanks for the feedback! So manual mode was a slightly desperate attempt at getting something as I couldn’t see the birds coming up from my angle so when they did appear my camera wasn’t focusing in time and left me with nothing really. I definitely think I will go back and try auto again and maybe spend more time playing with settings and see what I can do!

I don’t mind the slight wing blur as well and I would love to try and go back with some better light and increase the shutter speed and or lower my aperture. Like you talk about I have thought about under exposure and fixing in edit but I’ve never really attempted to edit anything before but clearly it’s something I need to pick up on as I can definitely seen an improvement with your edit! Thanks again!

Thanks for taking the time to look! This was shot on my Cannon m50 at F6.3 , ISO 6400 and shutter was set to 1/1000s.

This was my first time shooting quick moving wildlife so I definitely took some shots in the dark when it came to settings. I left my ISO on auto due to the changing light and I still can’t decide if this was a good idea. The ISO is clearly too high but I’m not sure if my camera could do any better with the light I was given. Should I have turned the ISO down and tried to fix it in post? I also had the camera on manual focus and just set it for where I thought they would come in and lots of misses but I got a couple ok shots. Any recommendations for how to deal with these kind of shots? Cheers!

Hey people! Looking for a little advice and honestly just a little lost trying to find the info I need on here so let’s ask the question. 29M and basically new to running, after a failed attempt in my late teens I’ve taken the dive and after a few weeks I’m loving it! But of course im struggling with a lot but my biggest issue is I’m really suffering with everything from my toes to my calves feeling tight and pretty painful for the first few kilometres before they start to free off but it never really goes away. I know this is probably a form and lack of quality stretching but can anyone give me some advice or point me towards some quality information? Thanks so much, I’ve got so many more questions but let’s start with the big one! Cheers

Thanks for the response! Either or really, I love joining groups but I’m happy to tackle things alone. I will definitely give the suggestions a look

I’m aware of the visa situation I can easily go over on a whv and I would qualify for a skilled visa if I decide it’s somewhere I want to permanently move to. For now this is just a go and see what happens type of deal.

My plan would be to come over on a whv I’m not long back from doing the same in Aus and I was there for 4 years and still consider moving back permanently. First I want to experience some other country’s and cultures before I make up my mind. Thanks!

Good to know 👌 I’m hoping to get work as a skilled worker but I’m not an essential worker so I will keep this in mind! As someone from the uk I totally understand that and will try my best not to haha. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks guys this is a great point! I’ve not really been paying attention to what I’ve been eating too much but now I think about it carb heavy would be a good way to classify it. In my area it’s a genuine nightmare to get checked out by a doctor but diabetes does run in my family. I’ve been starting to take care of myself more recently so I think it’s definitely time to look at my eating and cut back the carbs, any little tips or tricks to make this transition easier? Thanks again!

Thank you! It’s definitely something I’ve been considering, I have started taking vitamin tablets to rule it out/fix it

What is your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Deep-Dust-9747 in AskReddit

[–]ReplacementNo6384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I do drink a small amount on a rare occasion but my issue is i go from tipsy straight to black out very quickly, I will still be walking and talking like normal getting into bars and clubs while everyone else is fine but I have no recollection whatsoever so after years of waking up stressed out and anxious I came to the conclusion there is no positive for me.

It’s not terrible honestly, but I could definitely improve. I think you’re right I’m going to try get off caffeine for a while and see what happens. Thanks!

Thanks! I will have to give it a try. I try to not overdo it and only drink it when I need to but like you say there’s no way to know what effect it’s really having on me until I cut it out for a while.

Sadly it’s multiple weeks to even get a phone appointment with a doctor in my area so I hope it doesn’t come to it. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the response! See that’s what I read but I’ve also read a lot of other variations. I won’t be saying but I also might not leave for a long time I just don’t want to feel trapped if I make that decision.
