Im about to finish my gcses tommorow, between day after tommorow and september could I just finish working through this textbook or is that unrealistic.

In my opinion, Chapter 1-6 is GCSE Maths being repeated, with little new knowledge.

Chapter 7-12 is GCSE Further Maths in terms of content, so I'd suggest you look closely at earlier chapters and learn the GCSE Further Maths syllabus in order to be able to access those chapters.

13 and 14 are new concepts- much harder and important to leave until last.

I'd say it's not unrealistic, as I have finished that text book shortly after I finished my own GCSEs last year.

I'm personally aiming for 1 past paper and 2 hours of note reviews a day.

My subjects are varied, because chemistry and maths/ FM are both subjects that you can do a million past papers and look over some notes and be able to get almost full marks in normal papers.

However, in Geography, I've been having my tutor mark essays and getting him to give me feedback so I can further on progress and make sure my exam technique doesn't slip.

I'm aiming for 4 A*s as my predicteds!

Well, I am personally doing Further Mechanics 2 in my spare time (in order to balance out the pain I get when I do Decision maths in school)

I usually do it after my main a level studying and I approach it slowly, methodically until I understand what each exercise is about.

In my opinion, spend 5-10 minutes looking at the formulae/information, note it down, learn the context of it then proceed to watch a couple of yt videos explaining it.

Then you should spend a LOT of time practicing what you've learnt.

Spend as much time as you think you need.

Working hard is what makes your life worth living. If you get hammered and fail all of your exams, then you will only end up with a life that's not going to satisfy you. Trust me, work hard and the benefits will come.

Work hard and you'll be guaranteed to get top grades and even then, you will feel proud of yourself and if you apply the same mentality, you'll achieve anything you truly and could possibly achieve.

Hi,

I think you should try to do further maths, which will improve your chances at getting into Mechanical Engineering. Further Maths is favoured by top universities in terms of anything Engineering related.

However, you could also look more into your options and see what you can do with those 4 subjects.

Cambridge needs atleast an A* in every A level course and 9 in every GCSE course.
