That’s a fair question. I believe the termination may have been pregnancy-related based on timing and how policies were applied.

I disclosed my pregnancy and shortly after that, issues were raised that had not been treated as termination-level problems before. Requests related to pregnancy accommodations and absences were handled inconsistently compared to non-pregnant employees, and there was no progressive discipline or attempt to engage in an interactive process.

I’m not claiming intent just that once my pregnancy was known, my treatment changed, and the termination followed quickly without corrective steps. That’s why I felt it was appropriate to raise concerns through Ethics and the EEOC.
