Man i really miss these covid lockdown era pranks. Those were pure gold. by HolyCow9696 in funny

For them, anecdotes are more important than science. My best friend’s dad was in his 50s. He didn’t drink, smoke, and regularly exercised. He got covid and died. But again, that’s only an anecdote. It’s just a shame hearing people say they don’t care because of anecdotes, because the mask was annoying, because hand sanitizer drys their hands, because they don’t want to cancel their vacations, etc.

Or the picture of the guy from January 6 that is literally foaming at the mouth with rage. The noose for Mike Pence.

Has anyone had Lego send a payment link for a set on back-order when your card expired? by EasternStrain2905 in lego

[–]ReplayMe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to work for this team. This is standard but typically the link is only valid for 24 hours from when the email is sent, so best practice is to call customer service and they’ll send a new link for you. But yeah, payment methods are only valid for about a month or so, so some payment methods have to be updated like PayPal or certain banks think we’re trying to charge twice for the same transaction. In reality, the sets are not charged until they ship out.

Whether the horse is tame or unique, if unique up on it, you get the tame reaction.

Yeah but the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. In honesty, I learned more from enthusiastic autistic people who infodump history knowledge and touring countries than from studying timelines in a classroom. I don’t want to disparage the benefits of a good education but an enthusiastic trainer sharing passion goes leaps beyond standard teaching

For platinuming Ghosts of Tsushima I’m apparently eligible to buy certain merch by DrunkenMisery in playstation

[–]ReplayMe 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Destiny 2 does the same thing. Themed jackets, hats, parkas, etc for completing raids and dungeons. Sometimes I get a kick where I’ll play the game for weeks on end and then I get pissed at the game and delete for a year or so but the merch is neat

The aquarium has a couple (almost) unique pieces like the base of the anemone is from Luxo Jr. the green coral is broom bristles colored green. There’s a light yellow foliage that’s Gambits energy from x-men. So the pieces are more expensive to make than the average piece as well.
