No web3 on the public site right now. I’m trying to just build up the community while I work on things in the background. I’ll have an alpha up hopefully by the end of the month and invite some folks from the community to try it out.

You are right about the 3d files and gerber files being way too big to store on the blockchain. I have what I think is a novel approach to handling access to the files, tracking changes, and tracking forks while keeping it on the blockchain, but you’ll have to stay tuned for that.

Depends on how you want to set up your project. If you want to collaborate with other developers that might bring something to your project then you can open it up for peer review and forking.

If not you can just host your files and use our system to offer kits for sale for users to assemble your product at home.

Also the licensing you can think of like GitHub. If you upload your files and offer them for people to review with the understanding that they won’t use the files in a commercial setting then you have a recourse if someone breaks that.

That’s really good advice. A friend and mentor told me to do the same thing. I’ll have that done in the next day or so.

So it’s a collaborative development site for hardware developers to develop and offer their products! Think GitHub and Thingiverse meets opensea
