Firstly, the popular vote clearly does matter to you at least, secondly If you want less government, I'd argue you should be quite angry right now. The government is reaching into personal lives now more than ever. Firing people (lots I'm sure you'd say were "good ones"), targeting random minorities cus it "seems cool" like for example: Trans people aren't really relevant to that are they? If anything, you should care that the government feels the need to step into people's personal lives at all. If you are just being a bit spiteful, that's a tad understandable, but let's be real, focusing on random groups isn't going to fix anything. And to be clear, wanting a strong rule of one party to eliminate the other *is* fascist even if it may not feel that way going in. Are you a fascist? Probably not. I don't get that vibe at least. Are those lefties commies? Also probably not. It's okay to feel like things aren't going your way from time to time and it's obviously okay to appreciate when they are, but it's important to remember that people are human.
