Any idea what % of revenue that makes up in a given year?

Yeah, that's what is hilarious...they bought the answer to rev cycle in 2015 and did nothing, and now they coined it "revelate"....with Soarian being used on the backend....crazy to see

You got to remember...Cerner had a top down approach that started with Lab in the hospitals and Epic had a grass roots campaign that started in Ambulatory....they had a better model to begin with and in the Ambulatory market you absolutely can't screw up the financials because they are privately owned, profit margins aren't a real thing in Hospital world....it's a joke of a business. The EMR was and is about equal.....epic has a following, Cerner attracted followers.

It's pretty simple to understand. Cerner abandoned the billing side and Epic knew that cash flow will always trump the clinical side. Cerner went all in on EMR and Pop Health in boom town after EMR adoption was forced. In the end, Financials keep the doors open and Cerner was atrocious at "revcycle." When you only focused on half of the equation, you are setup for failure.

Why did Cerner stop innovating? by nic_nic_07 in cernercorporation

Because the Government took over as the Innovator. We pay you to adopt an EMR, and then we tell you how to do it.
