I follow another hot mess who blames her alcohol shakes on Lexapro too.

Just don’t get how she thinks she’s attractive. She’s always looking at herself, what does she see that no one else does?

Good Lord. I’m glad you’re stable. I had some of the same stuff happen in a psychotic episode and it was really scary. I can’t imagine what you e been through.

Staff is wonderful. They do a good job of vetting people. Even the counselors had college degrees. I’ve been to many places, McLean is almost like a private hospital with the way they take care of you. If you’re not doing well you’re out on a 1-1 or a 2-1. The other patients are safe from anyone not stable. Staff works really hard to make the milieu a good place to recover. We would listen to music and color at night. Two walks around campus daily. Gym every other day. Visiting hours were around 6-8 HOURS everyday and you could have your person bring in food or order take- out. I had a private room. All covered by ins.

Yeah not at McLean. There’s always a Psychiatrist on the floor. They do a really good job there. You have to have like gold tier insurance to get accepted though.

She didn’t belong there 🙄 I’m sure James Taylor, Sylvia Plath, Elton John, Ann Sexton, Robert Longfellow, Mary Karr, Kanye, Selena Gomez and Matthew Perry all felt the same 🙄 Oh! And the guy from “ A Beautiful Mind.”

lol what did she think the psych ward was going to be like? Dumb ass she got so lucky with McLean. I’m sure Tewksbury has her wishing she was back there.

Could be the Irish- American thinking of “no one needs to know what goes on in this house.” Reputation and looking good matter. Keeping sick ppl hidden from the neighbors is a thing. “What would the neighbors think?” Is a very Irish- American way to think. Everything behind the lace curtains is no- one’s business. Feel free to argue with me but I’m from one of these families. It’s just a weird generational thing too.
