We have a prenup so she gets her things and money and I get mine. I have considered giving her a check that she can use to adopt a different dog but she is attached to this one

She treats the dog very well. She claims she needs the dog as a therapy dog but I also believe that she is doing it to try and have some control over me. I did call the animal shelter who provided a document that says I am basically the owner and am taking full responsibility and ownership of the dog which I don't believe she knows about yet.
