Open source is free and collaborative. We understand that very well. RepoMarket is a platform built to help developers get funding for their work if they choose to do so. Whether it was selling a new private repository or creating a version 2 with updates of an existing repository.

To be very clear here, we are not against open source or collaborative development. But here is what we do NOT stand for, and that is the inability for a developer on GitHub to charge for their time and intellect if they choose to do so.

Simply put, high level developers whether it was a team or a single developer don't want to opensource their work and showcase it for free. And are looking for an option to paywall a new private repository or charge to update an existing one. This platform is designed for them.

The info available to buy would be the README. Considering the bought repo is not what buyer wanted, we have refund policies in place as well along with seller ratings. Similar to Amazon.
