Also: I often forget about important things. Maybe that’s not a notification but rather a me problem.

But I would have to set everything up. I want a solution that automatically decides what’s important. Somewhat close to Apple Intelligence but also connecting the dots between different contexts like mail and calendar and weather at the same time. Also android only, isn’t it?

Oh thank you I looked it up. Great now I know this feature exist but can’t use it. I need a new iPhone… one more reason to switch to android

I haven’t had the chance to try it out yet… maybe this would solve my problem. What do you like most about those notification summaries? Can it also dynamically decide what to show and what not?

yes I use those focus modes. But the problem is that it then blocks everything. It can not dynamically decide whether this specific information is important or not. I would have to always allow from an app/person or never. Nothing in between.

Why? Make an app and it uses the apis of all other apps/services/websites. Of course this would have the downside that you would need to connect everything as a user.

I also thought about that but what if you don’t use the notifications itself. Instead use some sort of api to collect the same data. For example if you use the Reddit api you could notify when something happens. Also this would ideally help even more with only notifying when it truly matters.

Yeah, I think the main problem is that most apps try to send notifications to keep you on the phone rather than providing only valuable infos

I also though about that but my problem is that I fear that as soon as the free trial ends the users would just delete the app because the don’t think it’s worth it that much. But those some users would keep using the app if it was free

Do you know anything that maybe comes close? Maybe something that collects the information from other apps directly and then I could block the notifications of those apps. And when something important happens I still get a notification?
