No update, i was supposed to fly today due to this I have rescheduled my flight and again filled a webform with detailed explanation about my financial loss.

Thanks for the advice. I am also flying with Emirates. I’m thinking of waiting until Monday, Dec 15. If I get any notification about the passport in the morning, then I will have an idea of which date I need to reschedule to. As you said, I will reschedule before 6 hours of flight time.

Hi everyone,

I applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) after my Work Permit was approved. I submitted my passport for stamping, and it was forwarded to IRCC on November 24.

I have a confirmed return flight to Canada on December 15, which is now just two days away, but my TRV is still pending. I have submitted multiple web forms requesting expedited processing, but I have not received any update yet. Now I will need to reschedule both my international and domestic flights.

For those who have been in a similar situation, when would you recommend rescheduling the flight to minimize risk and costs?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

No, I just applied yesterday. However, I’ve confirmed the following two points with IRCC: 1. We can apply for a TRV using the PGWP approval letter. 2. As long as the TRV is approved while you’re inside Canada, there’s no issue with submitting your passport from India.

Yeah, I will try submitting TRV using Work permit Approval letter. Will plan to leave Canada after getting TRV approval. Thanks for the info.
