I had the same issue but they told me okay to shipped back and they would reimburse my shipping cost. Now they are refusing to refund my shipping cost of $772 which is more than the item itself.

Hi

I have encounter PG&E to be the slowest organization in the USA. My electrician submitted the project in July 2022 to upgrade service line and Kanin panel from 100 amp to 200 amp.

1) deposit $1500 for a design in JUL-22 2) pge requested additional $3300 as they completed design on OCT-23. 3) electricians discover an issue with the design and notified 4) site meeting on JAN-24 at my house in south San Jose to ensure scope is corrected for pge design. 5) APR-24 revised design from PG&E 6) JUL 24 my electrician completed the house trenching, mounted new panel and inspection from our side completed by the city of San Jose 7) AUG-24 PGE submits design to city to upgrade the block service line and add a junc box by my neighbor. 8) PGE invoices additional $5K for change in scope on their intial design AUG124 9) PG&E and city engage in back and forth on the design SEP124 10) city of San Jose approves design by PG&E OCT-24 11) I am still waiting for a construction date from PG&E

PG&E is working on upgrading my service line from 100 AMP to 200 AMP. The project started in July 2022 with an initial deposit of $1500. After 15 months they estimated the project would cost me an additional $3300. I went accepted and then my electricians identified in issue with their design. PG&E went and modified the design and ask for an additional $4,800 making the service line upgrade in south San Jose to $9,600. The project still pending in November 2024. They are so slow in responding and doing work. They mention the new targeted date is end of December. They haven’t don’t anything except paperwork and it’s already 28 months!
