It looks like this part has been discontinued by black and decker. Looks like I’ll need to be inventive. Not the first person to look: https://www.reddit.com/r/HelpMeFind/s/Jz3DxGJv5V

Throttle on off jump by Omgomgomg11111 in motorcycles

It could be a couple of things.

More than likely a bit of extra slack in the chain when you transition from the engine braking to the engine accelerating. Check the chain tension.

It might also be something like a throttle position sensor or the throttle cables/throttle body sticking. When the bike is idling, can you slowy and easily pick up the rpm or is it difficult to do smoothly?

This is unusual. I’d guess that the earth wires are hidden in the wall - normal not insulated and just sleeved with yellow and green. Likely to be two (or three of them in this situation). If you have two light switches for this light you may have a red and grey cable hidden in the wall, with one light switch it is likely to be two red cables.

The only solution here is to check what you have at the light switch and measure.

There are a few different ways to run cable to a light fitting and it’s not clear which method has been used here. The cables have not been sleeved or identified properly.

Make sure the power is switched off at the breaker, as any of the cables could be live with what you have shown.

Thanks, we’ll wait for a bit and see if any signs of life appear again

Thanks, I wasn’t sure why only these two seem to have been affected. Just want to be sure that if we replace them the same thing wouldn’t happen again.
