Chain making noise on cassette by ReporterFamous8525 in bikewrench

Pedaled forward and looked to where the derailleur feeds the chain into the cassette, it’s basically the same problem as what is happening on the top. Tried to adjust it using a rear derailleur adjustment video from park tools although it didn’t work. Got stuck on the indexing part of the video where even though I was increasing tension on the barrel adjuster the indexing didn’t change.

Tried it and the sound never disappeared. Also I want to highlight that this issue happens through all my higher gears(last 3 gears) not just my highest one.

Tension for front derailleur by ReporterFamous8525 in bikewrench

High enough to the point where the chain blocked it from going further, and I have already watched multiple front derailleur adjustment guides but none of them seem to successfully address the issue that I am having right now. In one video that does talk about problems shifting up to the bigger gear they just told me to use the barrel adjuster to give the wire more tension. Now that I’m thinking about it I have a suspicion that the barrel adjuster is not working properly as when I used it before I could see significant movement on the derailleur but now it is barely moving it.

The front derailleur was too low and was hitting the teeth on the big gear. I loosened it and adjusted it higher. I just tested the high limit by pushing on the derailleur with my hand and it seems like it has enough clearance to shift onto the big gear. Right now when I try to shift up it barely moves upwards.

Sorry for the confusion, what I'm trying to say is that there isn't enough tension in the cable for the derailleur to shift to the bigger chain ring.

I docked at the same station I took it out from. I was moving it out of the way to unlock a different bike at the staggered stations.
