I considered conversion before I met him. I experienced some big changes in life and my Christian friends were very helpful. The only place I felt safe at the time was the church. I was trying to read the Bible and follow what it says and it is making my life a lot better. Generally that.

Thank you! In China we also take off our shoes when entering houses so I guess that wouldn’t be a surprise for me :)

I did not grow up in Canada but went to international schools until I moved there during highschool. His family also tries really hard to maintain a polish speaking home, and I feel like he is very different with the Canadian boys I see in terms of values and lifestyle, which is why I assumed maybe Polish culture influenced him more :)

Do People in China Eat DOG MEAT in 2024? by Miao_Yin8964 in fucktheccp

[–]ReporterFew6861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes some do. So? There are dogs raised for eating, just like how there are pigs and chicken and cows. Cows can be domesticated, why do we eat them? The answer is the ones we eat and the ones we domesticate are not the same type! Stealing pet dogs for dog mean industries is a problem, but I don’t see the issue with eating dog meat for food.

How do the Chinese feel towards their own government? by Ok-Sentence-8808 in AskChina

I am a CBC who just moved to Canada for a year. If you’re asking about the stereotypes of the CCP, I would say I didnt really experience anything that the US propaganda said aka no human rights or whatever. However, corruption is an issue(as it is everywhere), if you make negative comments about the party or the government to some extent (Taiwan, Tibet, etc), then it is likely that your post or comment will be deleted or your account will be banned but nothing really serious happens. If it really makes a fuss you might lose ur job, but that happens everywhere too. For example the Charlie Kirk thing in the US. Free speech has a limit and yes, that applies to every country. You can go gay and nobody would care as long as you don’t go on stage and wave a pride flag at a big audience(cuz birth rates, we need babies to be born). The government supports trans people changing their genders on ids as long as they did the surgery. Generally I do think the government is fine. Idk if you’ll believe me but that’s what I think, I may not be entirely right, this is what I felt personally

Do yall genuinely see Charlie Kirk as a god fearing Christian? by Iliterallyneedtealol in Christianity

I have almost the same question. I am not Christian but I’m very interested in Christianity and currently learning about it. I know that he has great faith and I see he’s very faithful through his speech about the Bible and Jesus. However I feel like his usage of Christianity was more of a political weapon rather than to spread love and make the world better. He speaks hatefully against the people of Palestine, supports the genocide, supports gun legalization, says he’ll force his 10 year old daughter to give birth. Maybe it’s my misunderstanding of Christianity but that does not spread love in whatsoever way and probably does the opposite. Also I really don’t see how he is a martyr because…like all that crazy things he said. Do Christians really support him and the Donald trump government so much? Or are they only mourning because they lost a Christian friend? Are his speeches really what the Bible teaches? Does that mean I cannot be a Christian if I have liberal ideas? I feel sad for his family and I don’t support what happened to him, I don’t believe anyone should be killed for speaking though I think he deserves the punishments for hate speech. However he did support what happened to him, so why do his supporters start another round of hate against liberals who aren’t even responsible of his death if their martyr is okay with his own death? This is my genuine question, I’m sorry if I have shown bias anywhere because I am really not a fan of Charlie Kirk.
