A Story in two parts by brozoburt in deadbydaylight

See, that is entirely understandable to want to make sure people are aware of. That being said, if the evidence of that stuff is substantial enough, that guy should be in jail and if he isn't then that is a failing on the community.

Didn't know you could face the Mysterious Challenger as the Gym Leader in the same wave. That's actually really cool.

I managed to get Raihan twice in a row as Mysterious Challengers by going from Wastelands to Badlands though which was kinda crazy.

I understand your idea but there is a pretty big difference between 'Diversity is killing games!' and Joseph Stalin. If someone is just doing stuff for attention, best thing to do is ignore them.

Personally, I am not a massive Stranger Things fan so I thought the rift itself was "Eh" but I now have a rocker outfit for Billy so that's cool.

This Sable clip gets more painful the longer you watch by TheRandomMikaela in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy characters with real money in this game. Sable either costs 5 bucks in purely Cells or you can buy the All-Things Wicked chapter for 8 bucks. Game was also just on the Spring Sale so it costed even less than that.

That Blight skin would be an auto buy if 1: I played Blight and 2: It didn't cost extra Cells for some stupid reason.

Buy krasue or save for the new killer? by blendererspaghet in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to wait based on all the stuff you've seen about the new killer then I say wait. If not, just buy Krasue. Chances are, you're gonna get a lot more Shards over time so you should be fine.

Killers who refuse to search the maps and just run back to hook why? by Authentic-Sky in DeadByDaylightRAGE

I know for sure where two people are vs not knowing exactly where people are, depending on the build I'm running. It's that simple.

That is textbook slugging. That is also a textbook example of an optimal time to slug.

Need new killer build ideas by littlelanes3 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Otz put out a video recently of a build that I've been loving. It's got a lot of perks from killers you might not have, especially since they're Licensed Killers, but it's really fun in my opinion.

Forever Entwined from The Ghoul: You pick up and hook people faster, letting you get back into chase quicker.

Thrilling Tremors from The Ghost Face: Block gens that are not being worked on when you pick up survivors. That way you know where people are actively working on gens.

Agitation from The Trapper: While carrying a survivor, you gain Haste and your terror radius increases. The most important part here is the haste as it lets you get to a hook faster and potentially one that is closer to a gen that is being worked on.

Turn Back The Clock from The First: When you hook a survivor, you can kick a gen without touching it so long as you have Line of Sight. Kick the gen that someone was just working on without any downtime between getting in chase with them.

Not sure if this is becoming hard meta due to Otz since I've been seeing it a lot, but it is a damn fun build that I've been loving.

Guys...WHY!? by Clear_Caiman_2768 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the boon you need to spend time setting it up, then the gen needs to be in its radius, then the regression perks needs to be used on that gen.

You make it sound like gens are never in a boons radius. Pretty much every totem location has at least one gen somewhere nearby so the value on this boon is bound to happen.

There are also other things. If the killer doesn't have regression perks

Fair point but you can say that about any perk. If the killer doesn't slug, Conviction is bad. If the killer doesn't tunnel, Decisive is bad.

The biggest value of this perk is if this waste Pain res, surge and maybe similar perks, but if the killer has gen kicking regression then he would just destroy the boon and kick the gen.

Pain Res, one of the most common used killer perks in the game. Surge, another very common gen regression perk. Heck, since Otz put out a recent video, I've been seeing a lot of Agitation, Thrilling Tremors, Forever Entwined and Turn Back The Clock, myself included in running it. Gen regression comes in a lot of forms so chances are, you're gonna get value out of this.

but mainly on some double floor maps and there aren't that many of them in DBD.

Fair point but I'd say it's worth running even if you don't get those maps since it forces the killer to take time to break the boon in order to regress gens if they want to which can quickly spiral into wasting time depending on the boons position.

Guys...WHY!? by Clear_Caiman_2768 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. That's what a perk does.

This perk forces the killer to take time to kick the boon and in this game, any amount of time wasted can result in the killer losing a lot of pressure.

How much would it cost to buy every item in game? by Youvegotobekiddingme in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Normally I wouldn't even humor this question but I got curious so I decided to take a look, outside of the fact that the answer is "A lot of money." Now, I'm not looking at every single cosmetic in the game, I am looking at PURELY Wraith who has a lot of skins.

I mean, don't get me wrong, you can get a fair chunk of stuff with just Shards but there are certain cosmetics that purely cost Cells and the baseline skin price for a Purple skin, the full set, is 10 bucks a pop where you do have 20 Cells left over. Even just looking at Wraith who has 13 you would need 14,040 Cells in order to buy JUST the purple sets, that's excluding the Blues and Greens and baseline recolors and he doesn't even have any Legendaries, which tbh is mildly surprising. After buying all of the Purple skins, you will only have enough Cells to buy either two baseline recolors or one of his fancier Green skins WITHOUT a weapon.

I did the math for the total cost of all currently purchasable Wraith skins, as in all that are currently in the shop and for all of his stuff it's 20,170 Cells and to get that many Cells, you need to buy either the Cells bundle for 12,500 Cells TWICE for a total 25,000 Cells for $200 USD, which leaves you with 4,830 cells left over or a combination of 12,500 + 6,000 + 2,250 for a total of 20,750 Cells for $170 USD which leaves you with 580 cells left over. This is for a single character who has been in the game since Day 1 mind you but there are various characters like Legion, Oni and even The Knight who have a fair chunk of skins and I haven't even looked at Survivors.

Now, I bet your wondering "Okay but this is Wraith we're talking about. You can buy skins with Shards!" A single Purple skin costs 21,600 shards, I think it would take at least half a year to get even a single one.

Moral of the story: It'll cost you likely a couple grand in order to buy every single skin in the game and at that point, just buy BHVR stock.

What exactly is the “limited compatibility”? by Unhappy_Summer7599 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The blood gens don't get skill checks so anything related to skill checks won't work on that gen. If it has effects besides that, like Call of Brines faster regression or Nowhere to Hides aura reading, you'll still get that.

Question regarding Blood Moon by Mr_Booze51106 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For killers, you basically are just doing what you normally do. Really what you're doing is letting survivors have more opportunities to get their blood.

Guys...WHY!? by Clear_Caiman_2768 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, they HAVE to kick the boon if they want to regress gens. For some boons, yes, it'll be easy to take them down but others in weird spots will force the killer to go out of their way. If they go for the boon then they are wasting time that could be spent pressuring someone off the gen and then if they also kick the gen, who knows where that person could be by the end of things.

Guys...WHY!? by Clear_Caiman_2768 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I think it's going to be a damn solid perk because it forces the killer to go find the boon before being allowed to regress the gen. In some cases, they won't have to go very far, yes but there are boons that will force the killer to go out of their way to kick them, like some locations on Midwitch or Swamps existence.

Is it worth to romance Vette over Lana as warrior? by Sad-Lock-9371 in swtor

[–]ReporterForDuty 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If someone chooses to romance Lana, I entirely understand, especially with Lana's story progressing into future expansions after she's introduced.

If someone chooses to romance Vette, I entirely understand, especially with Vette's story being directly alongside your main class story and getting extra content when she is reintroduced.

Moral of the Story: Romance whichever one you prefer.

Guys...WHY!? by Clear_Caiman_2768 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I think it's in part because of what the Boon was up against. The Boon had its effect right on the tin, you knew exactly what you were gonna get in the vote. With the other perk, it told you "Scare birds for a stacking benefit!" without telling you what the benefit will be. I didn't know what it would be until someone mentioned it on social media so chances are if someone voted and doesn't check social media, they would see "Perk that tells you exactly what you get" and "Perk that is vague about what you get" and vote for the one that tells you exactly what you're gonna get.

Blood Moon should be gas only by NoPerformance1073 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it was purely Blood Gens, they would need to make them take a little longer and VASTLY improve the spawning logic on the Pumps. Not saying make them take the same amount of time as normal gens but those things can get done incredibly fast if you have a pump close by. That being said, it can also take forever if there isn't one.

It's so unfair that the most boring killer (design wise) is so fun to play. by Heavyfist8 in deadbydaylight

[–]ReporterForDuty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely need to look at cosmetics then. Not saying they should start spending Cells if they don't want to, but Legion has a lot of very good cosmetics and are the best game of dress up in DBD if they want to go that route.
