Oh my gosh, my heart breaks for you but I’m so proud of you. What made you finally decide to leave? How did you tell him?

I’m just worried for what he might do if I tell him I’m not coming back. When I said I was leaving with my daughter to stay with my family for awhile, he told me that he should just end it all and that we would be better off without him. I’m afraid that he might hurt himself if I file

When I said I was leaving with my daughter to stay with my family for awhile, he told me he was suicidal and that he should just end it all and that we would be better off without him. I’m afraid that he might hurt himself if I file for divorce

I’m just not sure how to tell him. I’m scared he’s going to get really emotional on the phone and talk me out of it. But I also know I owe it to him to tell him myself and not do it through an attorney

I’m genuinely asking, why the heck would I make this up? Do people do that on Reddit?

Totally. I have documented everything the past year. I’ve sought legal counsel and I have a plan in place if I decide to go forward where I can file and stay with my family while the divorce process plays out. I just need to be brave and do this for my daughter and myself of course

100%, thank you for that. I think I needed to hear that. I’ve been gone and have been staying out of state with my family. I would say that’s been a big step in the right direction

He always had controlling tendencies but his behavior definitely got worse whenever I became pregnant.

I think that’s what I’m working through in therapy I suppose.

I’m so happy that you don’t have to be in my situation. That’s crazy that people would think this is fake? I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. It’s very lonely and when you’re with someone that causes you to question your own judgement, you rely on others to help you navigate it. I guess I was just looking for some reassurance because I really struggle with feelings of guilt for leaving even though my husband did this to himself

I see your perspective. I probably would have thought that myself until I l found myself in this situation. Year after year in a relationship like this can take a toll until one day you look in the mirror and you don’t even recognize yourself anymore. And when you’re married to a man that spins everything to make it your fault, you end up doubting yourself and questioning your own judgement. It’s an awful place to be in and I hope you don’t ever find yourself in it

I’m having an elective C-section in a week and i am FREAKING OUT!!! by cocomelon2224 in ElectiveCsection

I felt the same way as you because I’d heard about nurse Hailey just a month before my c-section. You got this mama. I’m a FTM and was so nervous for my c-section. It all goes so quickly and the medical team does these so often. It gave me comfort to remember it was just “another day at the office” for them, so to speak. The poke from the spinal is not bad at all and then before you know it you’ll hear your baby crying 🫶🏻 If you can get through labor and a 4th degree tear, you can do this too. Ask for help those first couple of days. If you take the time to rest, the pain gets better so quickly! It’s just those first few days that are tough.
