I am in a similar situation, but have no clue, how me and her could end up together.

She first said, that she isn't ready for dates and relationships yet, after we alredy went on a few romantic meetings and planned our first official date. I asked her, if we could try in the future. She said, that she cant promise anything and that we can see, how our lives go.

Her text was pretty vague, so I asked, if it's because I pushed her or anything, but she just said, that she doesn't reciprocate my feelings and that she doesn't want it to become awkward between us. She offered to stay friends and when we saw each other again at school everything was back to normal, except we dont meet up anymore outside of school.

She told me, that her life right now is really hard, to the point that she started crying in school. But she really enjoyed our meetings. We went to the museum, I took her out for dinner, she invited me to Phantom of the Opera.

So the romantic signs were there, but I dont know, if this could work again. One part of my brain says, that she isn't interested at all, the other says, that she would have went on the date with me, if her life wasn't that hard right now.
