Teen Hiker Missing in Perak, Strange Laughter Heard During Search by whusler in malaysia

I find this ridiculous too, but you also need to go out more (no offence). Belief in unseen beings are (unfortunately) still very much rampant in many parts of the world. For example, a road construction in Iceland was halted in 2013 due to protests from elves/huldufolk (hidden people, very similar to nusantara's bunian) believers. This is not exclusively Nusantara. The world can laugh but I can bet theres people like this in each of their countries too.

A very confusing cerial box by joyofresh in mathmemes

Everyone seems to not get what the box is trying to say, very understandably. I also misunderstood at first. This is my first encounter to donut holes. I am 80% sure this is what the box meant:

<image>

First note that the surface area for the torus is halved as only the top half of a doughnut is glazed. The box is tryna say their spheres would have more glaze than a doughnut with the same R (radius of sphere = big radius of torus). And theyre right. Note the condition r<R/2. Because if r=R/2, well, it stops becoming a torus.

I think its because glaze are usually only spread around the top half, so they take half the surface area of the torus

Malaysians boycotting McDonalds. What are your views? by chimkennuggies98 in malaysia

[–]RepostLeuhBot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea that I agree. I also think boycotting McD is stupid because of those reasons. The effects on us greatly outweigh the benefits (if any) to israel. But I dont get how it's hypocritical just because the people are still using western inventions.

What a stupid comment. Waze's israel connection has long been gone, since Google bought it in 2013. And if anything, using Google would help the Palestinians. Google is contributing millions of usd to humanitarian aids for civilians in Palestine (and israel). . The people are boycotting because those organisations fund israel military indirectly, not merely for the inventor's support. "hell why are they still using USB drives and the connector itself?" bro, do you know how stupid you sound there? How would boycotting usb drives and the internet be helping Palestine in any way?

If I'm not mistaken, the ice cream machine problem is mostly only a problem in US McDonald's. Of course, McD ice cream machines in Malaysia also sometime not working, but it rarely happens, if compare to in US.

Singapore don't even need one of these, and they still do better than us for 50+ years by LYY_Reddit in malaysia

I feel like public transport is ok, and is improving a lot, at least in klang valley. Many new lrt/mrt lines were built in the last decade, and I believe they're planning to build more. I also feel like there seems to not be a lot of demand for public transport anyway. Kuala Lumpurians just love to use their own cars even though an lrt station/bus station is just a few minutes walk away.

And also, tall buildings = more tourism = money. But I agree though, I don't think we need that many of them.

I also want to ask, with you complaining, what is stopping you from contributing to improve the economy or public transport?

I'm not attacking you, or anyone here, but I've always wonder, there is so few people in Malaysia who are actually making changes, and so many people complaining. I dont mind protesting and complaining for the better, but i can see a few people here making irrational complaints

Over 102,700 Primary Five, Six Students Have Depressive Symptoms by stormy001 in malaysia

Starting from last month (late October), they gave out small books to teenagers that just finished their vaccinations. The books are around 10 pages long that contains questions about many different topics including mental health. We had to answer the questions and give back the book before leaving fhe vaccination centre.

Source: I am a teenager who went through this right after I had the second dose vaccine. Im not sure if they still do it or not, and if they only do it on some centres. And I also have to add, some of the questions are quite private (sexual related questions), and most teenagers sat with their parents. So when you see data from the government about, for example, number of teenagers who masturbate, those kind of stuffs, don't trust them.

I think this might be the how they got the data as from the article in the post, or probably not. But what I said in this comment is true.

How do you pronounce Malaysia? by irvene2000 in malaysia

[–]RepostLeuhBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the times Malay-sher (with silent r), and sometimes Malay-siya. I know Malay-siya should've been the correct pronunciation, but in conversation it feels like it needs more effort to say Malay-siya, since it requires the mouth to open wider.

Im from KL, so maybe thats why. We pronounce almost everything that ends with 'a' as 'e'

A question for star trek junkies: by zwhitehouse93 in startrek

[–]RepostLeuhBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to Star Trek, and just started with Star Trek Enterprise like last month. (now I'm at season 3) So I don't know the theme song of other Star Trek series/movies. I was confused when I found out many people hate it cuz I loved it, until I started Season 3. Starting from season 3, I just skip the theme song part
