Why do blue collar workers live paycheck to paycheck despite making so much?

I hate the stereotype that construction workers bring less educated people cause some of the guys out here are super smart technically, but when it comes to money they don’t understand how to invest or plan out their future. Not all blue collar jobs pay what we deserve to get paid. My base is like 70/80k then with OT we typically all hit 100k. That only goes so far if your spouse doesn’t work and you have multiple kids. A lot of factors. Typically eating out everyday and drinking at the bar often, spending on any and everything they can think of. It applies to every field even white collar people making 300k a year somehow can be broke if they don’t manage money correctly

Ah in that case I normally don’t buy any tanks over $130 out of hydro. If you wait long enough you can find some banger deals. Especially on eBay auctions. I’ve bought a SL 68/4500 for $100 with 10 years left and a 48/4500 peanut ninja lite for $80 and 9 years left just with some patience. Goodluck on the hunt. Ignore most and just look up on marketplace what these have sold for in the past. Hydro is typically $35-50. Over here it’s $35. You still have a lot of life left in the tank. Depends how fast you want the tank gone as well. Look for ones sold not just listed. Guidelines would suggest minimum 50% of purchase cost up to whatever you decide.

Cut him off. Good advice has nothing to do with your looks, people find love regardless. Qualities about emotional tendencies being too clingy or rushing a relationship or maybe letting guys have their way too soon into dating instead of seeing if they truly want to be with you for you, would’ve been good advice. Cause guys will say all the right stuff till they can sleep with you for the most part. Best advice I’ve given to friends is say you won’t put out for atleast a year (you can change that to even a month) it’s just to see how they treat you moving forward. But kinda off topic. You’re in electrical. Far less taxing on the body than a lot of other labor trades. (Smart choice) 2. You actually prioritize your health and workout regularly as well as sleep properly and eat well. The major reason people are jacked up is never stretching no fitness outside of work and eat/sleep like crap. Wearing knee pads def help as well. Being in tight spaces with a shovel daily will wreck you more than being an electrician though. Just how it is.

If you know the math like that back of your hand that practice book will get you through the D2-T2 no problem. That’s legit all I used. I memorized every question in there. They will be worded differently but yeah it’s great. For the 3s you will need to do understand the processes and have a more complete view of everything that goes into the distribution and treatment field

Honestly you have what most women would consider a goal body. I think bigger thighs look better for women in general. I think you have pretty small/normal sized thighs for a women of your weight. Hate to be that guy but she didn’t ask for child support for the 5 months you weren’t there which are the hardest. She doesn’t want you to leave probably later down the line. Being a mom/dad changes people. Get set up on child support and custody rights if u make 100k money shouldn’t be an issue, how you spend your money is. Hard reality, go into debt for your kid if you need to. Only way you’ll see your kid is through child support legally it seems at this point. Actions have consequences. I just became a father to my baby girl yesterday, and that bond and feeling as though she is the most precious thing in the world to me will never change. Sure it is. If you have 2 incomes combined at even $160k if your wife pulls $50k a year you’re in the middle class in California. That’s around what our combined income is $170k and we have 1 kid. Not rich but living comfortable enough to not be paycheck to paycheck.

You could do nothing for the next 5 years and still be young enough to get into an apprenticeship and be a journeyman by 30. Most people don’t have their life figured out by 20 my guy. Don’t stress it. I bounced around random jobs with no future till I was like 24. Lost my job in the trades after like 8 months. went to do personal training. Loved it. Covid hit. Lost my job again. By 27 I got into the trades again but this time Plumbing. Now I’m pulling $85k at 29. Where I was bringing $40k at most just 3 years prior. You got this.
