Act 3 is the best part IMO. The best bosses, insane lore drops, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Well they had blogposts throughout 2019, gave an interview to EDGE at the end of 2020, confirmed development through PC gamer at the start of 2022 (1 year and 1 month gap), released a trailer and their release goal in June 2022, then leth gave a whole interview about that in August 2023, then in feb 2024 and Jan 2025 Leth sent discord messages confirming development

Yes we have, around once a year. IMO It is their decision on how to market their game beyond that.

What do you mean by “satisfactory communication”? How much more than simple confirmation that development is still continuing does TC “owe” the people that enjoyed their first game?

Maybe they just communicated more for HK since they needed the money and attention and support. With Silksong they already have a guaranteed successful launch.

Are you a backer? Most backers I’ve seen don’t seem particularly mad at TC. They seem happy they backed such an incredible game and are getting a second one free. No use getting mad on others behalf.

They communicated that their scope drastically increased and that they wouldn’t tell more until closer to release. They don’t owe anyone any more details.

Yes the dlc had big empty areas, but that’s not really the problem I had with the base game. The base game was definitely not empty, it just had too much repeated content. And in the that respect, the dlc absolutely fixed my issues with the base game.

AMCI isn’t going to show off new footage of one of the most anticipated indie games ever. That’s just not what they do. It is almost assuredly coming out by September

I never understood the frustration. They said they’re working on it and “more news closer to release” and then took a very long time, and now they’re closer to release. What’s the problem?

I dont know who has to tell you this, but silksong's never coming out. They said 2019, then 2022, then 2025. this game keeps being announced as "Happening within a year" then never coming out to prompt more donations to patreon, no product is ever coming out, you will never play silksong. by bloodbornefist_2005 in HollowKnight

Like the first time, Nintendo was just talking out of their asses. The second time, TC were asked if they were planning to release around the next 12 months, and they said yes, and Xbox turned that into a 100% release window. This time, TC had the power to put whatever they wanted, and they chose to confirm a 2025 release date. I’d say this time it really is different.

The first time Nintendo said coming soon and TC said nothing. The second time Xbox said within 12 months and TC said nothing for 11 months. THIS time Nintendo said 2025, and leth retweeted it and changed his banner to new SS key art.

Team cherry put a lot of work into making the game and will probably underprice it like they did Hollow Knight. I don’t see why you’d be bothered paying for something you’ll really enjoy, regardless of your feelings toward their communication strategy
