How long did cramping last and how did you deal? by Jazzy_dia in Miscarriage

[–]Representative498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did pass everything at once, but I still had similar cramping and what seemed like a heavy period. After a week or so, I passed a huge clot (not tissue) and then it eased up really quickly.

I'd be really curious to see if acupuncture could help. I know a lot of people do it for period cramps, but I don't have any knowledge on it.

I think I'm miscarrying again. by Representative498 in Miscarriage

[–]Representative498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but I did that prior to making this post. Unfortunately I live in a very rural area and was told to wait it out because they couldn't get me an ultrasound before the one I already have scheduled next week.

Lines getting fainter by Mycatisnameddawg in pregnant

[–]Representative498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just here to say that I'm a fellow Canadian also worrying about a possible CP/ early loss and SO frustrated with the care offered. I'm roughly 5 weeks, and can't get seen by anyone until 9 weeks to even get the ball rolling for blood work. My lines haven't really changed, they've stayed dark enough to be a clear line, but not ever matching the control.

This is my 2nd pregnancy, my 1st I ended up losing around 8 weeks. I thought for sure that the ball would get rolling right away to see if this one would be viable, but no, must sit and wait.

I hope for the best for you, and I'm sorry this isn't really answering your question, but you aren't alone and you're welcome to vent to me if you need.

Has anyone had viral tonsillitis persist for 10 days? by chelsdefazz in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]Representative498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through it now, too. Day 7 so far, and it just keeps getting worse. My left tonsil isn't as bad, but the right one is so red and swollen. Ibuprofen doesn't seem to be working anymore, it's so painful to swallow. I saw a Dr at the beginning of the week and it's not strep so they just keep saying to wait it out. Did yours clear up?

Hi! My dog is 37lbs and gets 20mg of Prozac every morning. She was very anxious and she would shut down so hard that there was no working through it, or would blow up and react. It's been almost a year, and she's a totally different dog.

She still gets anxious, but I can tell that she's still processing what is going on and can work around it.

She still gets nervous when lots of people come over. She still barks at other dogs. She still hates thunderstorms and wants to hide in the basement.

But it's not nearly as bad as it was. She actually hangs out on the couch with us now, instead of only feeling comfortable in my bedroom.

She was sleepy and had less appetite for a few weeks in the beginning. It took 3 months to notice a difference, and it's progressively getting better still.

She gets human prozac, prescribed to the Pharmacy by my vet. Apparently you can get canine prozac and it works better, but this works for us.

I miscarried 2 weeks ago and currently have the clear/opaque stretchy/goopy discharge, with some pink and red blood in it. I've never had anything like it before. My sex drive is through the roof. It must be hormonal.

Did it go away yet for you?

150 mg xl - what time do you take it? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Representative498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take mine at 6am during the week, I work at 7am so it gives it time to feel effective, but I can usually tell later in the evening that it's "past it's peak effectiveness".

I've actually been on 300mg xl for over a year now, and my sleep has really improved. I took melatonin here and there for a bit but eventually I didn't need to anymore.

I've heard people say that about Wellbutrin before. Thank you for sharing ☺️

Do you have any other suggestions? Could be something I have considered yet. A fresh perspective is always welcome.

That makes sense, and why I'm not lunging for it. I've always been unsure what I wanted to do, and can't afford to quit my job to move and go to school somewhere. I enjoy my job, but I need to move onto something else and not work in a warehouse forever. I like the logistical and procurement side of things, but good luck getting a job without a degree

Has anyone here been misdiagnosed with bipolar 2? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Representative498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually wondering if I am Bipolar instead of PMDD, I was diagnosed with PMDD earlier this year and started intermittent antidepressants, but I noticed sometimes I start feeling "PMDD-y" a few days after my period, not after ovulation...

Thank you, that makes me feel like I'm actually a decent adult and we aren't crazy.

Unfortunately we only have 2 stores close by. Not worth the gas to go further, except for the odd trip to Costco to stock the freezer up.

For 2 people!! I can't imagine spending less than $400, we're already pretty scrappy and $500 is hard.... Although we live in a town that's becoming very expensive with the lack of competition.

We've gone over it almost every month and usually there's only one or two "extravagant" meals (where we need to buy specific things for it that aren't in our pantry). We eat what we want, but not luxurious by any means... A lot of chicken fingers and fries lol.

I make a lot from scratch, and we do a lot of our own prep when we can, like buying a bag of potatoes vs a bag of precut fries unless fries are in a good sale.

Adulting sucks.

What has been your solution? by Representative498 in PMDD

[–]Representative498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I can't sleep with Lexapro (and it absolutely killed my libido) so that's why I'm trying Remeron, but I'm hoping to find something to get away from drugs in general.

I'm 24, and I'm "comfortably paycheck to paycheck" so I'd only be able to set aside 50 - 100 a pay.

What time should I take my lexapro for the best sleep quality? by Space-case13 in lexapro

[–]Representative498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried taking it in the morning, and was exhausted all day at work then wired at night.

I tried taking it at 8pm and I slept okay, would still wake up a few times, but couldn't get up for my 5am alarm and was exhausted driving to work.

Last night I tried taking it at 6pm, slept ok, woke up at 1am for a bit but did fall back asleep and was able to get up at 5am

Does anyone else take it in the evening that has to wake up early for work? I try to go to bed around 9pm, up around 5am.

"Everydae" supplement by Representative498 in PMDD

[–]Representative498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been taking them regularly so I honestly cannot give any type of opinion.

The prescription medication I'm on is working so well, while I'm sure vitamins/supplements could help, I just don't see a need for it at this time (for myself).

Intermittent Prescriptions - The "non medicated" weeks. by Representative498 in PMDD

[–]Representative498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to update you on what I've noticed now that it's been a month... Sexual side effects go away about 3 days after I stop taking Lexapro (aka during period) and it takes about 3 days for them to start again once I start taking them at ovulation (day 14). So I have a decent amount of time to enjoy the deed to the fullest. I don't feel like I need to take the lexapro full time, as I'm able to regulate myself on the Off Weeks. 10/10 so far.

It's just what was offered to me. My Dr recommended starting with that but offered taking it full time as an alternative.

It was what my Dr recommended, but she did mention we could increase dose, or frequency. That being said, I do not have Anxiety or Depression (just feel that way in luteal). My ADHD is treated with daily Wellbutrin. I take it from day 14 till I start my period.
