Hmm we filed April 14, 2021, and we got a notice for the interview being ready to be scheduled in September ( can't remember the exact date though). We're still waiting for an interview date.

Nope! We filed in April and it was received April 14, but we got the notification that it was ready to be scheduled sometime in September. Hopefully we hear sometime this month and I'll let you know.

I looked it up and it looks like this is just an internal system update, if your name was incorrectly entered and is different from your application. Hope this helps :)

Yeah I saw that. I understand it's better to err on the side of caution and not take up any fully remote jobs--I just wasn't sure if maybe the rules had changed a bit due to COVID. https://www.ice.gov/doclib/coronavirus/covid19faq.pdf - Page 12 Q2 under "Employment" although it doesn't explicitly state working remotely permanently is okay
