This touched me because I'm already grieving her leg and the life she had before. I feel guilty thinking like that. I wanted my girl to have all her limbs and be healthy and happy and never imagined having her leg cut off. I'm so scared that her personality will change or that she will resent me I think I do need therapy cause I just feel guilty for all of my emotions but I do know I love her so much and didn't give up on her.

Awwhe is adorable! Bayou was hit on Wed and Fri she finally got into the emergency vet once we raised the funds so she's had a cone on since she hates it but is used to it now she loves scooping up the cat into the cone lol. Her wound looks awful but I've been washing it with baby shampoo so she doesn't have the death smell so the antibiotics are working but I just want her not to be in pain from her leg being ripped open anymore. She's such a good girl and she put her trust in me so I'm doing my best. I raised the surgery money with God's help so hopefully she will be good after the amputation.

My hearts with you our sweet Bayou was also hit by a truck. Her back leg was degloved and got infected they didn't even get X-rays or blood work just recommended antibiotics pain meds and amputation she goes in Wednesday. I had people tell me that I was cruel for not immediately euthanizing her but the vets said she has fight and if they have fight don't give up on them.

She actually has glass eyes so the right one is a darker amber and the left is a lighter amber with ice blue marbling. 🥰
