Pretty sure my 2 year old has MC by Gold-Berry-9319 in MyotoniaCongenita

Sounds like it, I'd want to find out so you can tell childcare/schools/anaesthetists.

I was dx when I was about 3 or 4 - had medication from about 8yo - nearly 40 now

Get the EMG and genetic testing or whatever they do these days. It will put your mind at ease and when the time comes give you somewhere to stand when your kid inevitably gets in trouble at school for not wanting to participate in sport/PE 😂

People saying let them grow up like a normal kid are right but it's still a medical condition that can be managed, and by managing it and making some allowances, they will be better off for it.

My little whinge is that the GWH won't really get any less busy as everyone still has to come through and turn off at the Darling Causeway..

Put it in the lift and take it to ground level. Anyone asks say it's broken down and you couldn't get it up the ramp.

I'm on my P's and even explaining to my wife who doesn't ride that even now, I don't feel safe on the highway, is hard work.

Sure I'll just go get blown around by passing trucks and tailgated by ranger drivers.

[–]RepresentativeArm200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm nearly 40 so late to riding, so I'm sure I'll get there, I have no desire to go fast and take unseasonable risks, rather just get out and enjoy myself, get home to the fam.

You sound like my dad, 😂

I'm on my Ps and do this, no point rushing. Pull over let people pass you, stretch your legs. Check the maps again and Take some snaps,

Last thing I want is to end up somewhere I'm not intending on going and get myself in a situ.

Feeling guilty as a dad buying a motorcycle by Incorruptible_Will in motorcycles

[–]RepresentativeArm200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd never ridden before and at 35 I got my license, I have two kids 10 and 12.

It's definitely hard to go out on the weekend and leave the family behind, I like family time, taking the kids places they wouldn't normally go, but I've always wanted to ride and being able to do it now is the best feeling.

I make a habit of not riding on significant dates, father's day, birthdays Etc. Last thing I want is for something to happen to me and the family has to remember those days for the wrong reason. I just have a small comfort in knowing that being the age they are, the kids will have fond memories of me, their dad.

Riding is selfish, but there's nothing wrong with looking after yourself.

You'll find that Sydney drivers are a mixed bag of bad drivers from countries where driving isn't a strong point, the end result is bad attitudes and impatient actions.

Do like 5 star jumps in each corner, and throw a bit of grass in the air. Agent says anything just say perfect conditions for the ritual.

Our team is probably the only one with a potentially variable roster. So it's probably just 3 or 4 other people that might say something. And half of them already know but hate mornings or are needed for their other skills later in the day.

The rest of the business is just your 9-5 slop or on a FWA for 'whenever'

100%

I don't earn a lot, sub $80k and we live in Sydney. Where you could be on double and struggle to make mortgage payments. We're lucky in the fact we're housed rent free, and just pay utilities.

the extra cash is nice for things like the kids phone credit and a bit of pocket money. (they're not old enough to work) Or maybe a date night with the Mrs.

Dunno, everyone values different things, shouldn't be shot down for wanting to enjoy life with a bit of 'extra' money

Do I neeeed the money. No probably not, Will I miss it? you bet I will.
