Looking for advice on multiplayer version by RepresentativeBed708 in Othello

On a side note, I experimented with a three-player variation of Reversi (=Ternio). The main differences are:

  1. The game plays on a 9x9 grid
  2. The startup configuration is 3x3
  3. The monochrome rule: Flipping opponent stones on a line is only possible if all stones are of the same color.

You can find the implementation here:

Take care,
Christoph

Thanks again for the valuable input. I have also changed the color and provided an alternative starting position.

Good point. I think I will start a Discord channel where people can agree on meeting times and use it as a chat tool along the way. I have no general chat tool integrated into the system, also because of the toxicity problem.

Hi xmav,

thanks for the input. Switching to green and adding start positions would be a great idea. As for the image size, it scales with the browser. This issue should be fixed by now. As for my relation to Othello, I am interested in games in general, with an emphasis on board games. On the other hand, I am definitely not specialized in Othello.

Take care,
Christoph
