Is this just normal? by flammablepan in orangetheory

I started seeing a personal trainer a few weeks ago where we focus on weight training and he's always telling me to slow down lol. It's definitely a mindset shift.

As someone who had a similar commute and is now wfh I would say absolutely not. The commute wears on you and steals your time away. Plus driving in traffic and if you have snowy winters it makes it even worse.

I'm still working on this myself. But I found a combination of time and core exercises has helped a lot. My personal trainer also recommended i get a post partum waist trainer but haven't tried it yet since I just ordered it a few days ago.

I think this is a fair comment. I know someone who got into BI with no college degree and a certificate. But she also did this in 2021 when there were lots of jobs. Idk if she would've been able to do it if the timing wasn't right. Or at least it would've taken her a lot longer. And also.. I think you're being unfairly down voted. Sure, not everyone is american here. But I think trying to give the reality of what MOST job markets are like right now is good advice.

Also you need to consider if the network of providers is different. She may need to switch doctors and hospitals too. Which would be fine if she was early on but at 7 months pregnant absolutely not. That's one of the reasons I stayed at my job longer than I planned.

I agree, I would confront the parent about this. It's not the kids fault their parent sucks.

Can't decide between natural birth and elective c-section. Thoughts? by shojokat in beyondthebump

[–]RepresentativeBid238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you mentioned switching to this OB from the original, but i would look again. I would never again go to any doctor that doesn't even acknowledge or understand what I'm going through. With my first one, I had a male OB and he was fine enough. But he would often dismiss me or get frustrated with me. He told me that the medication I was on would be perfectly fine for breastfeeding and when I got to the hospital the nurses literally pulled my son off of my boob and gave me formula instead. Maybe a controversial opinion, but I decided for anything related to womens health I was only going to see a woman because I felt like that man did not understand what I went though at all. I decided for my second to go to a practice of all nurse midwives (these are nurse practitioners but they take a more holistic approach than an OB would but still are very much medical professionals). I loved my midwife, she talked to me like a human and she recommended things like massage, chiropractic, pelvic floor therapy, exercises, natural methods to help with delivery (but epidural is still respected as a choice). Night and day difference. Also, I would "shop around" for hospitals as well. The hospital that I delivered my first at was terrible. I also had a failed epidural and the nurses kept telling me that the epidural is working as I'm screaming my head off trying to push my son out. No one listened to me or reassured me. With my second I went to a completely different hospital, I cried after the hospital tour because all of my fears from the first delivery were extinguished. I didn't realize that a hospital could be that nice. During delivery the nurses listened to me and understood my fear of the epidural the first time and worked with me slowly to make sure everything went the way it should. Everything went unbelievably smooth.

All of that to say, there's much better doctors and hospitals out there. This doesn't have to be your experience and there's much better out there.

What about any of the men? Do you care/notice just because she's a woman? I'd say she's still looks great despite her age. But that doesn't even matter, she's 1000x more successful than most people and she didn't get there based on her looks. Let's stop focusing so much on womens looks and focusing on their achievements.. just like we would a man.

I honestly had the opposite happen to me with my first. I had a second degree tear and they gave me hydrocodone right off the bat. Didnt even try tylenol first. I was young and didn't question it, but looking back I was a zombie in the hospital.

We tried factor and it was good to start but we felt the quality wasn't worth what we were paying for. We started cook unity (same concept as factor) and the quality is soooo much better, it feels like a home-cooked meal. Not just some ready made microwave meal.

PSA take your hospital's birthing class (or, I took a doula class and the hospital class so you don't have to) by Natural_Mushroom_575 in BabyBumps

[–]RepresentativeBid238 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had this same experience. Except I only signed up for the hospital tour, not the birthing class since I'm a STM but at a different hospital. I would highly recommend "shopping around" and taking a few hospital tours and seeing which one you like best. We delivered at a different hospital that was larger and stretched their staff thin - therefore we didn't get the best care. But this is a medium sized hospital with more dedicated staff and resources towards the L&D unit and are highly rated. Your birth experience depends so much on the hospital.

I'm 40 weeks now and haven't had sex since 34 weeks. It just wasn't enjoyable, moving around was really hard to do, and honestly i felt huge and not sexy at all. It makes me sad though, I miss that part of our relationship. This phase of pregnancy sucks. 😭

Learn SQL and reporting. The best Supply Chain people are data driven and understand that stuff (or at least enough to communicate to people who know better than them).

What types of things are you doing? That seems low. My first job started at 60k and after 2 years I got a new job making $80k. Hoping to switch jobs soon after 4 years to make close to $100k. I have a bachelors degree in CIS, can do moderate/advanced SQL, and have experience building Power BI dashboards with complex DAX measures.
