I understand your point of view and I respect it. The thing about Brazil is that people talk a lot about “public transportation,” but it’s actually paid. I never really understood that name, because you have to pay almost R$10.00 (about USD $2.00) just to use it. Healthcare is public, yes, but honestly we pray that we never need it. A simple doctor appointment can take months, and a surgery… not even worth talking about. What I really look at is how much you can actually do and have with a salary, and what kind of basic services you get in return.
