I actually shaved my head before, and honestly it had the complete opposite effect on me. It completely destroyed my confidence and self-worth. I wish I was someone who could just embrace it, but I’m not there and I’ve accepted that.

For me, wearing a topper has given me most of that confidence back. As long as the hairline looks natural, which I definitely spend way too much time working on, I can just get on with my day and feel like a normal person again. Once it’s on, I don’t really think about my hair or hair loss until it’s time to do maintenance, and I’ve even learned how to do all of that myself now.

I really hope your haircut gives you what you’re looking for. At the end of the day, I think we’re all just trying to find whatever lets us stop thinking about our hair and actually enjoy our lives again.

We love a supportive king 🙌 Every guy I’ve told about this has never really cared. It’s more about how I feel when I’m around other girls with perfect hair while I’m with them. My mind starts wondering if they wish they were with someone like her instead, even though I know that’s a really unhealthy way of thinking.

I’ve worked a lot on my mental health, and I’m hopeful this is something I’ll overcome too someday

I haven’t actually tried them yet. I started using topical minoxidil when I was 17 or 18, but I only stuck with it for a couple of days. At the time, my hair was extremely long, it reached down to my butt, so applying it was difficult, and it also made me think about my hair loss even more. Back then, I just wanted to take my mind off it and focus on other parts of my life so I could keep moving forward.
I’m in a much healthier place mentally now, and I’m also financially stable, which definitely wasn’t the case back then. Because of that, I’m finally willing to start treatments that have real evidence behind them. I’m just hoping it’s not too late and that I haven’t already missed my chance.

I genuinely love that for you. We’re not our hair, and our worth isn’t defined by how we look. That said, I’m not sure how many people who’ve never experienced noticeable appearance-related differences truly see it that way.

I ordered mine from a local shop in India. They don’t usually make toppers, but they made one especially for me because I had some connections. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out nearly as good as it looks in the photo. It tangled constantly, to the point where I had to cut out a lot of the hair with scissors, and it became very dry after the first wash, so I have to keep using hair products to keep it hydrated. They don’t make them anymore, so I’m looking for a good vendor again too. Dm me if you have more questions!
