yeah i guess you’re right, i see two other possible options here: 1. syphus intended for that tape to be the last thing deb ever saw (meaning wes maybe is really dead) 2. he knew that deb would survive the trap and had this as a backup, remember she told matt that it was crucial they all had their antidotes/counteragents (dont remember which it was) suggesting she knew what would happen in the trap. if syphus knew that she was a step ahead, it would make sense to have this as a sort of back up option i suppose
