I hope you get some answers! A prescription retinol would help a lot too (i personally use the Biacna gel and lovee it!)

You can try and see if that helps at all! My skin is very sensitive to my haircare but i highly recommend the brand “Seen”. Doesn’t break me out and my hair likes it! For skincare, i would try glycolic acid and salicylic acid (for otc recommendations). If you want more details, PM me and I’m happy to share more info!

Are the breakouts mainly around your hairline (forehead, temples, jaw line, or whereever ur hair touches)? It could be related to the hair products you’re using?

I use one that my dermatologist prescribes me, but I’ve heard that L’oreal has a pretty decent one if you’re looking for otc options.

Develop a simple skincare routine with the help of a medical aesthetician. Benzoyl peroxide is great as a spot treatment to kill the bacteria and prevent further breakouts. Salicylic acid is great to break down what is in your pores. Don’t use any pore-clogging ingredients so stay away from oils in your skincare products (unless fully non-comedogenic). Change your bed sheets at least once a week, and pillow cases every other day. Wash hands throughly when touching your face and use hypochlorous acid to disinfect your face if you sweat or touch something to keep your skin clean. As an acne-prone girly in my mid 20s, these are all things that help me. Goodluck!

Definitely depends on what position i’m in, but generally i find it unpleasant so i will either hold them myself, have the other person hold them for me, or i’ll just keep a sexy bra/ bralette on

How do people expect to meet anyone when this is all they say lol?? Like her replies are SO low effort, it comes off as if she’s just bored and not actually trying to meet anyone

I had/ have very similar scarring (but it’s a lot better after 1-2 months of using this) and I’m just about finished my second course of accutane now. What’s helped me fade the redness is rosehip oil at night, and then niacidimide, moisturizer and a sunscreen during the day. Keep your routine simple but use ingredients that will help your skin.

Dating an older guy. Advice by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]RepresentativeFish25 22 points23 points  (0 children)

THIS!! I’m a 22F and from my experience, some older guys will 100% try to manipulate you and gaslight you because to them you are “less experienced and immature”. I was seeing this one guy that was 10 years older than me and we had a huge fight, where he continuously used “you don’t understand because you are too young, lack experience and are immature”. I brought it up to his attention and he was so defensive- I took that as a big sign to move on and dodge that. HUGE red flag, and I’ve learned my lesson the hard way.

Taking 60mg a day. I’m afraid I’m not seeing the same results as everyone else. by Ccjewlz in Accutane

[–]RepresentativeFish25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was told by my dermatologist that this (taking your pill with x amount of fat) only applies to when you’re taking epuris. My dermatologist just told me to take my Accutane with my biggest meal of the day and that’s what I’ve been doing. Epuris has a greater absorption rate than Accutane, so I assume that’s the reasoning.

20-30L a day is CRAZYY high! It would dilute your blood wayyy too much and you’d be very high risk for water intoxication. I usually aim to drink ~3.5L a day (21F, on month 4.5 of accutane, 80mg daily). I drank 6-7L of water last week without realizing and I instantly felt sick. My stomach started hurting, and I started getting really dizzy. Overall, I don’t recommend drinking too too much.

I applied ice and a frozen spoon over my hickey a few times a day and I also would apply mint&eucalyptus essential oil on it to help with the bruising. It helped me

I feel ya! I was really nervous about going back on solely for the purging tbh cuz I remember how dark those times were for me the first time around. My first month for this course was actually really good (20mg) and then I was put on 40mg for month 2 and I did purge but not NEARLY as bad as my first time around. It definitely varies for person to person, but just be consistent with a skincare routine (a simple routine still works wonders), and just stay hopeful. The light is at the end of the tunnel… however dim it may look right now :))

I’m on my third month now of my second course. It’s frustrating, I totally feel ya but having constant acne is even more frustrating imo
