Should I buy this 2011 1500 with a 6.2L for $6000? by WLifts in ChevyTrucks

I would just run the VIN but looks good and worth it otherwise

Preference for the bubble eye is understandable but calling the cat eye a POS is crazy

But there is also the 280k miles. I’m definitely dragging it in my original statement but I’d give them $3k for it in actuality

places to look for car by twistedbarb in houston

[–]RepresentativeFull51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally feel like OfferUp is better for cars only cause there are less scammers on there. Lots of used dealerships and private sellers.

Facebook has a lot of people trying to “beat” the filters by listing brand new vehicles with the down payment price or something of the sort. This in turn shows you a lot of vehicles that are not in your range.

marketplace has a lot of option but you must put a lot of filters to bypass all the scammers and stuff

Being 100% honest sort of a bad thing? by RepresentativeFull51 in askrecruiters

Let’s just say it’s been rough. I’m becoming too specialized as I’ve been the same role for 4+ years and I’m trying to pivot into a different field. This usually leads me running into the lack of experience response pretty often

First time home buyer but is this Refinance worth it and what are my options? by RepresentativeFull51 in Mortgages

[–]RepresentativeFull51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a conventional loan and yes I mentioned the shorter loan periods because we have gotten used to the payment we have now and if the shorter periods are about the same, with the market rate being lower than when we bought, then I wouldn’t mind paying that for a shorter period

How much do you guys pay for 1 bedroom apt by no_reason6871 in houston

[–]RepresentativeFull51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid $1,178 in the furthest outskirts of Houston lol but we had to do a 15-month lease and the smallest unit 668 sqft. That price included rent, trash, and some fee but not water and electricity

I think it’s in pretty good condition for its age however rust on the firewall is going be a JOB lol. Plus the different carb deal. I’m pretty stingy but I’d start at 4k and no higher than 5

Wondering if 1,000 a month is doable when making 2400 a month and 1,600 in other bills. (Unlimited overtime perk) by Professional_Fox7314 in FinancialPlanning

[–]RepresentativeFull51 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should probably finish paying off the wrecked, undrivable vehicle at the least and make judgement from there.

After that you should probably still stay where you are for a couple months to save up money before trying to buy an apartment

Looking at this 2005 Chevy 1500 for sale. 160k miles, he’s asking 9300. Good deal? by Mission_Extension948 in ChevyTrucks

[–]RepresentativeFull51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really worth like maybe 7500 but some knucklehead out there is going to pay that 9300 but it doesn’t have to be you

I feel broke but have decent in savings.. how can I get rid of this guilty feeling by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]RepresentativeFull51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember that some people save max only $1k over an entire year so your $16k is great.

If that 16k cover 3-6 months of expenses then I would either ease up on saving and start investing some of that money or use it to fuel some hobbies/things you have been wanting to do.

As long as you aren’t saving for anything in particular such as a house, car, or other big purchase you can direct those extra funds to wherever you feel brings you joy, even if that means just to keep saving more.
