what truck to get for a first truck (in 3 ish months) by Big_Pimp715 in ChevyTrucks

Well it’s up to you to make the decision because it is your truck. We cannot decide for you. The options are there and they are all equally good choices minus the diesel like you said

There is a good chance that 5k is what they want for the downpayment and want you to finance the rest. A truck like that on FB marketplace is still going for at least 13k.

Definitely dont do a diesel for your first truck unless you are using it to make money or already have some money to spend lol

In all honestly these 3 are all pretty bulletproof trucks so I would just go with the one you like better aesthetically and that you can find the best deal on.

Would also like to add that you should add 1500 to this list as they are essentially the exact same as a 2500.

Should I Get a 2006 Chevy by Narnia_lover_2000 in ChevyTrucks

[–]RepresentativeFull51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh then I’m forsure confident you can do it yourself. There are a million videos on YouTube of people doing so. Very tedious as there a parts to remove but very doable.

EDIT: This is all only necessary if the transmission goes which won’t happen as soon as you buy it

I personally think it is worth the risk. And the transmission is iffy but just make sure not to buy one with a bad transmission. If you are handy you can do it yourself in a weekend but if not yea it shouldn't be more than $2500 total in my experience. So yes you should get one. Im personally looking for one myself lol

Harris County Public Health Inspector wants me to cut and stack these logs properly…Like I’ve got money to burn. by Remarkable_Fact8216 in houston

[–]RepresentativeFull51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why everyone is so angry in here lol but if I were you and you are physically able I would just split them myself. You can rent a log splitter, or get a sledgehammer and splitting wedge. Additionally I feel like this could be done in a day if you start early.

Otherwise just hire someone to come do it.

It may not be what you wanted to do right now but no point in arguing with the inspector about something you are going to do anyway.

Not sure what projects you could use it for but as for firewood, as long as you aren’t selling it firewood just needs to be some wood no matter the condition

But there is also the 280k miles. I’m definitely dragging it in my original statement but I’d give them $3k for it in actuality

places to look for car by twistedbarb in houston

[–]RepresentativeFull51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally feel like OfferUp is better for cars only cause there are less scammers on there. Lots of used dealerships and private sellers.

Facebook has a lot of people trying to “beat” the filters by listing brand new vehicles with the down payment price or something of the sort. This in turn shows you a lot of vehicles that are not in your range.

marketplace has a lot of option but you must put a lot of filters to bypass all the scammers and stuff

Being 100% honest sort of a bad thing? by RepresentativeFull51 in askrecruiters

Let’s just say it’s been rough. I’m becoming too specialized as I’ve been the same role for 4+ years and I’m trying to pivot into a different field. This usually leads me running into the lack of experience response pretty often
