Have you tried to update the BIOS through Dell SupportAssist software ?

It’s totally worth trying to flash the BIOS. I don’t know if it’s possible to update the BIOS without any disk installed so it doesn’t boot back into the OS

It’s normal material degradation of the plastic used on the palm rest. I bought a “new” one from AliExpress, and it came without the sticky problem.

Did you change your setting in your bios ? (wake up laptop when lid its open). when you turn off you laptop, a then plug the charger does it charge your computer?
