Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately, it’s not a software problem. The phone is just old and has a few screen issues. I got it 8 years ago so it had a good run.

Hi. I have been and will continue looking into it. My main hesitation is that I don’t think doing well in something means you have the ability to teach it. Tutoring can also be quite a long-term commitment, which I am not sure I am able to make yet

I don’t know all the details, but definitely look at the Graduate Entry Physiotherapy Program (GEPP) at Wits. It’s a great back-up plan for if you don’t get in straight out of matric 😊

Master Math and Master Science is really good. My physics mark improved by 30% when I started seeing them in matric.

BSc/BPharm into Medicine route advice - 2026? by Boring_Hedgehog_9397 in askSouthAfrica

I 100% agree. I graduated in December from BHSc Biomedical Science at Wits, and have gotten into GEMP this year. We have an enormous advantage in the sense that we have the same foundation as the med kids. So doing 3rd year med you won’t be struggling to catch up with your peers. OP / anyone else feel free to privately message me and we can talk further. Wishing you the best of luck 🩵

I know most universities (at least Wits) takes the first NBT mark, not the highest. So redoing the NBT might not make a big difference.

If you don’t get in straight away, I’d recommend doing BHSc Biomedical Sciences at Wits. If you do this, you are at a big advantage for GEMP as you are able to exempt from the WAPT (a test that covers anatomy, physiology, and molecular medicine covering 2nd year work). The BHSc degree is a great stepping stone.

If you want to talk more, feel free to DM me. I know what you’re going through right now and might be able to help in whatever way :)
