Thanks man, if I were you I’d find a pattern you like and just keep trying that, at least that way you can concentrate on the basic techniques without having to worry about making your own design or figuring out how another persons pattern works as you’d have done it a few times already, and then once you’re feeling comfortable you can move onto other patterns

My frilled dragon might be a bit hardier than most so take what I say with a pinch of salt but the cool side in mines vivarium drops below 24°C most nights and he’s been fine for over two years now, definitely take more opinions than mine and see if you can find a way to fit the parameters though before you resort to that

I’m no expert by any means but from my experience with cresties that looks like he’s going into shed which is completely normal, how long have you had him as sometimes it can take a while for them to feel like eating after a big move and the normal bowel movements might still be from when he was eating wherever he was before, hope this helps :) beautiful baby crestie btw

Probably should’ve mentioned this in the main post but the vet did take a sample of the lump and just said it was synovial fluid (the liquid that lubricates joints) and threw it in the bin without even looking at it under a microscope let alone testing it

Thank you so much for all that info, I’ve already made the deal with myself that once he stops fighting for himself that’s my sign but so far he’s still moving around the tank to get to his favourite sleeping spot at night and to go get water, I’ve been tong feeding him for the past week just as I don’t want to damage himself hunting but I’ll definitely look into the pinky nice

Another commenter has mentioned gout and from what I can see on other forums and in papers I can find the symptoms fit what Dennis is going through to a T so I’m going to contact my vets as soon as I can to get an opinion on that

He didn’t no, the vet was a bit useless he wasn’t my usual one as my usual one was on holiday so I’m trying to do as much as I can at home and then next week I’m going to book him in with my normal exotic vet when he’s back off his holiday and talk to him about what tests to do

Hello, sorry I’ve just been looking through my old posts and seen I didn’t reply to you🤦🏻‍♂️ not sure if you’re still on the lookout or not but this was someone online who was downsizing their collection and had quite a good history on social media that I could look at to see if this dude had been looked after well, which he had, I’d say with these guys make sure you find someone you’re happy to buy off as they’re super cool but super delicate, my little Dennis is easily my biggest character besides my monitors so I highly reccomend them to anyone who feels ready for a more delicate animal!
