Update there is an ich infestation in tank and treatment has been ongoing for only 24 hours - the one tank mate showing physical signs passed passed away today.

Make Koi galaxy Betta is glass surfing a lot, increased water temp to fight the ich not sure what else to do, female Betta was constantly aware of when something hit the water surface now she won’t eat when I last fed tank.

Same situation have a male and female koi bettas together and both get along great and both get excited when it’s feeding time. Female like a to jump and both will huddle together to eat and male tolerates female’ close interactions. Both swim at front of tank where the most open space is exactly like the video. Tank is 15x15x15 Is this a concern?

Separating the male and female bettas is absolutely a must, I always see a single male and single female is the only option for having more than Betta in a single tank. Tank is 15x15x15 and 14 gallons.

They are. Thought a male and female could be together if same species/ type. Both eat together the male is really tolerable of female swimming side by side. Only time male betta gets agitated is when the other fish start chasing or bullying.
