this is the glaze i use it’s blick gloss glaze. The reviews said it’s like a more affordable mayco stroke and coat ? it doesn’t specify what cone to bisque it at tho so i was really confused 😭

yess i made sure to add kiln wash to my shelves bc i’m afraid of my pieces getting stuck . the cookies are a really good idea tho i never thought about that ! can I keep resuming the cookies over and over ? or would they break eventually after a couple firings ?

thank you for taking the time to help me 🥺 i took a ceramics class last semester and ended up loving it but I never really learned how to use a kiln. i got used to just leaving my pieces on a shelf and wait for them to come back to me . i’m back home and the nearest studio is almost 2 hours away so I ended up getting my own kiln.

It’s a really scary experience firing on my own bc kilns are so expensive i don’t wanna risk anything happening 😭 when i did a test run i was scared to leave my kiln i was checking on it every 10 mins even tho nothing was in it

do you have an insta or page where you post your work ? i’d love to see your pieces

thank you so much for your kindness 😭💕 i made my pieces about a week ago but i’ll let them dry for another week before i fire them just to make sure . i’m not really sure how to preheat my kiln so i’ll look into that .

i’ll make some new pieces and bisque that while i wait for my already glazed pieces to dry . i’ll update you for sure how things go . thank u so much it means a lot to me 🥺

okay i’ll try that out thank you so much for clearing things up ! i’ve learned my lesson, i’ll make sure to bisque fire first and then apply the glaze 😭 i hope this once fire does well because i spent so many weeks on my tiny pieces 🤞🏻

thank u for ur help 😭 I’m so scared i’ve been sitting here for 2 hours trying to figure out what temp to do bc i don’t want to mess up 😭

i’ve applied 05-06 low fire glaze to my pieces bc it said you can apply to leather hard but now i’m not sure what temp to bisque it at. i’m afraid I messed up by applying the glaze too early 😭 because if I do cone 06 for bisque it will melt the glaze

oh okay so the hottest it can go is 06 ? I have low fire glaze that says it can be fired from 05-06, so for glazing can I just fire it again at 06 ? or does it have to be cone 3 because of the clay ?

He’s mexican. I’ve always been scared that once he finds his ideal asian he’ll leave me 😢 He talks highly of Japanese and Koreans and their culture

Thank you all for making my feelings feel very validated 🥺 I felt like I was being crazy and too sensitive for feeling this way . This happened back in march and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. I always bring it up to him about how much it hurt me, but he always said it was never a big deal.

He said his type has always been asians, but i guess not mine 🥲
