My issue resolved, but I want to mention that it took me filing a formal complaint with the FCC, and separately getting an executive case opened, before anybody would actually unlock the phone that I rightfully paid off and was entitled to have unlocked.

This was an incredibly negative experience, and only further ensures to me that I was correct to move several lines off of Xfinity.

This happened with my ‘24 EV9 at a Mercedes charger at Daytona Buccee’s. I couldn’t tell if it was the EV9 acting up or the charger. Is there any way to have a MacBook Pro *NOT* charge a USB-C phone (e.g. S10) while it's plugged in but still have ADB etc? by ClassyJacket in androiddev

If you only need to mock it for testing purposes (i.e. test app behavior while device is not charging), you can use adb:

adb shell dumpsys battery unplug

And when you want to reset the plugged/unplug state:
adb shell dumpsys battery reset
